Got the full wrap handle kit for my timberwolf the other day thru saw suppliers and had it installed in a few minutes. Makes the saw seem much better now. Looks and feels great and saw suppliers included simple directions and an extra handle bolt. Thank you very much i will be buying 6 new bars soon for various echo saws i own and i will be doing so thru saw suppliers. Great prices and great service. Thanks again and if your on the fence on weather you want the full wrap handle on your timberwolf or not i promise you wont regret getting it! It was either $105.99 for the handle or about 6x that price for a new echo cs620pw.
Red Armor 2 Cycle Oil (6.4 oz - Makes 2.5 Gallons at 50:1)
First, let me say that Sawsuppliers.com has been awesome. They have good prices and good selection and they delivered quickly .They've been kind enough to throw in some goodies as well.
The CS-4920 is by far the easiest chainsaw to start that I've ever had.
Bone cold I can get her going with three or four pulls and when warm she starts on the first pull every time and idles like a champ! I leaned out the hijet about a quarter of a turn or less and at high speed It's beautiful. This engine is sweet.
There is however one what I would call fatal flaw. It doesn't oil well at all with an Oregon bar on it. I can't say how it would do with an Echo bar because I don't have one. The 4920 uses a small husky tail mount. And the way it picks up oil is different than the 4910.
The oil gallery is engineered in a very odd way. Instead of just being a straight slot like most saws, it has a 45° gallery lead in and when the chain is new and shortish this 45° gallery overlaps with the large diameter chain adjustment hole and all of the oil just pours out the bottom of the saw. I think that if this saw had bar guide plates, this might not be an issue, but it doesn't have those plates.
The bar simply rubs up against the plastic and it's not a solid surface.
On this particular tail mount of saw the large holes don't carry the oil but a smaller separate hole above there does and unfortunately this was engineered incorrectly.
I'm going to have to take the saw in for a warranty because I'm burning up my chain.
I really want to love this saw and I think it's beautiful but this fatal flaw is just that, fatal.
I began using Sta-Mix, 2T Low Smoke Oil many years ago until my supplier stopped handling it during the pandemic. I looked for some time and finally found it here at SawSuppliers.com and at a better price than I was paying over five years ago! Thank You SawSuppliers.com!
OREGON 80TXL Nano Saw Chain (.043 Gauge - .325 LP Pitch - Micro- Chisel / Standard Sequence) cuts like a laser even in dry read oak (12 inch bar). Saw Suppliers price was very reasonable and chain received in a few days by USPS without additional charge.
